Weekend Wanderlust : Portland, Oregon
From our home in Bend, we’re less than three hours to Portland. And I’m itching for a trip there! While we’re waiting out the pandemic (that still feels crazy to write!), we’re dreaming up a future trip to Oregon’s biggest city.
So, let the weekend wanderlust begin… PORTLAND, OREGON!
SLEEP : There are so many great options in Portland, but we’ve always been fans of the Ace Hotel. So a stay here would be our first choice. Although we love a deal and will probably end up booking a hotel stay with our credit card points.
EAT : It’s obvious, we love food from Southeast Asia. So we’re basically going to be working our way though this Eater list of the best Southeast Asian food in Portland. Starting with Mekong Bistro, a Cambodian Khmer restaurant.
DO : I have my eye on a visit to The Yo! Store and of course time perusing the Strand Bookstore.
PLAY : I can’t wait to explore Washington Park with the kids. The Japanese Garden, playgrounds, and the Oregon Zoo. I imagine we will spend many of our hours there.
TREAT : A trip to Salt & Straw is a must for Portland. We visited their locations in Venice, CA and San Diego. So while we’re already big fans, we still need a visit to their flagship location!
