I Wrote A Book! - How to Travel the World: Long Term Travel Planning
Today’s the day! My book, How to Travel the World: Long Term Travel Planning, is here! I’m so excited to share everything that I learned about how to travel long term with all of you. If you want to learn about why I wrote this book, then you’ve come to the right place. I’m sharing all about it in today’s post. If you want to head straight to the book description, I’m not going to stop you! You can find it on Amazon and Apple Books (coming soon).
Why I Wrote This Book
I wrote the book that I wish I had when planning our travel year. There are so many details and to-dos that turn the dream of long term travel into reality. I learned so much during the year I spent preparing for our travels. Many times I learned these lessons the hard way and I just couldn’t keep all of that knowledge to myself. I am a teacher at heart and I believe that information is always better when it’s shared! I know that there are a lot of you out there who are dreaming of seeing the world. When we announced our travels, I was amazed by the number of friends, family members, and coworkers who shared about their plans to travel long term one day. With my book, I want to help anyone turn their “one day” into reality.
I’ve always been a planner. When I was young, I would spend hours planning imaginary road trips on our Rand McNally computer program. (Oh yes, I was very cool.) At 12, I saved up money with my sister and convinced our parents to take us to Walt Disney World. I researched the entire trip and even booked the dinner reservations! Over 20 years later, I still love travel planning. Reading about new-to-me travel tips, finding new resources, and putting all of that newfound knowledge into practice.
I wrote this book for all of you dreamers and doers. We are kindred spirits! What I wouldn’t have given for a book like this to guide me through this crazy decision. My goal is to be your travel guardian angel. Just hanging out, sitting on your shoulder, and teaching you everything that I know about traveling the world long term.
While travel may be at a standstill, for now, I’m hopeful that we will all be out there traveling soon. And the good news? Preparing for long term travel takes a while. From designing your budget and saving to planning your route and paring down your belongings. You need time anyway to prep. But if you start planning now, your dreams of hitting the road will only come true sooner!

Insight Into The Book Writing Process
With 10 years of experience in Training and Development, I’m no stranger to writing teaching manuals. I love sharing knowledge, keeping information as simple as possible, and, most of all, getting readers excited about the work ahead!
I may love to teach, but I really love to learn! In addition to writing and editing (so much editing!), I learned everything I could about publishing an ebook. I did it all from the formatting to the cover design to the publishing! (If you have any questions about ebooks, I’m no expert, but I am happy to help!)
Not counting my own travel planning and our year on the road, this book took 5 months to write. From the initial outline to uploading the final version to Amazon and Apple.
I hope that you’ll take a second to learn more about my book here. Or head straight to Amazon or Apple (coming soon!) to purchase it and start reading it today!
