5 travel must-haves
We’re almost two months into our travels and there are a few items that make longterm travel a bit easier. Besides our phones, iPad and snacks (so many snacks!), here are 5 of our must-have items so far.
1 CHANGE PURSE
Outside of the US, most of the currency that we carry internationally are coins. I’ve had this change bag forever. It reminds me of my New York City days and the ubiquitous coffee cups around the city.
2 HYDRO FLASK WATER BOTTLES
We’ve traveled with many different water bottles. One of which didn’t handle altitude changes very well and would spray us with water on every flight! Nothing beats the hydro flask. Keeps our drinks ice cold for hours. We even MacGyvered it into a drip coffee contraption while camping! Definitely worth the investment.
3 ANKER POWER PACK
This power pack has saved us a few times. A dead iPad while stuck in traffic when the kids needed a distraction is the most memorable moment. But it also comes in handy at Airbnb’s without outlets near the bedside tables. If I did it again, I would probably buy the smaller version since it’s significantly lighter.
4 TEVAS
Great for the rocky beaches all over Europe. Also, great for short hikes that need shoes with a bit of tread. These are the kids main shoes for our trip and are becoming my go-to shoes as well. Liv’s terrazzo print are my favorite.
5 BESTEK POWER CONVERTER
So many items to charge these days. Phones, laptop, AirPods, iPad. This charging station cuts down on the amount of adapters that we need to bring along with us. Also, it charges items fast!
