Thank you for visiting little world adventure!

Weekend Wanderlust : Todos Santos, Mexico

Weekend Wanderlust : Todos Santos, Mexico

Sure, Instagram is a complete time trap for me like it is for most people. But during our travels, I started to really feel the benefits of that complicated app. Traveling long term is not something that most people do and finding other travelers to chat with on Instagram became such a needed source of support. Two families that I follow (@neversaysomeday & @oxoverland) have been spending a ton of time in Baja and they’re posts have got me dreaming about a trip of our own. Todos Santos looks particularly special and I can’t wait to visit sometime in the next few years.

While I wait, I realized that it’s the perfect destination for a Weekend Wanderlust. Below you’ll find all of my first stops to visit when we finally travel there!

SLEEP : Todos Santos Hotel looks so endearing. I love the style of this hostel and you can’t beat being able to walk into downtown. But Todos Santos also has beautiful Airbnbs. I have my eye on this one!

EAT : Full of great looking restaurants, I’ve got Pacifica Fish Market and Doce Cuarenta Cafe at the top of our list to enjoy a meal.

DO : A day spent walking through the historic downtown and shopping at store after store, that’s a great travel day in my books. Mornings surfing (for Trent) and joining a yoga class (for me) is also on the (wanderlust) books.

PLAY : Lucky for us, our playground-loving kids will happily skip the park for a day at the beach. We’re going to need to spend enough time here to get a few, solid beach days in. Also, we’re going to need to visit sometime in the winter when the kids can participate in releasing baby sea turtles. They are both obsessed with animals and this experience would make their whole trip.

TREAT : Ice cream is as critical to a great vacation for our kids as beer tasting is for us parents. So we will have to make at stop at Baja Tasty for a cone. And then Trent and I will definitely stop into Todos Santos Brewing for a beer afterwards.

I love ending Weekend Wanderlusts with cookbook suggestions. I might not be traveling there just yet, but at least these cookbooks will bring a little of the town into my kitchen.

Check out all of the blogs linked in the photos for their amazing travel guides on Todos Santos.
